This project aims to design and evaluate the grid connected solar photo-voltaic roof-top system for academic campus. The performance of the photovoltaic system depends on geographical location, solar irradiance and type of PV module & orientation of the module. This work involves theoretical analysis along with the simulation of the PV system based on different load conditions in a building to achieve maximum power, performance ratio and efficiency. The analyses of the simulation results show that the project yields energy about 110kWp for Area of academic campus is 621m2. The process of electricity generation from solar photovoltaic system could save 20 tons of carbon dioxide
